Ipsen International, Rockford, IL, shipped an electrically heated I/O-3000 in-out atmosphere batch furnace to Shenli, a commercial heat treater based in Taipei, Taiwan. The unit will complement Shenli's two other Ipsen atmosphere furnaces and expand the company's heat treating capacity. The furnace will have a 3,000 lb load capacity with a work zone size of 36 in. wide x 48 in. long x 30 in. high and include Ipsen's advanced control system with PC-based operator interface as a standard feature. Quenching will take place in a large capacity oil quench system that uses top-mounted quench heaters and agitators to prevent problems associated with below-oil seals.
