Air Liquide Promotes Oxycombustion Technology for Increasing Reheating Furnace Productivity
Air Liquide in Paris promotes oxycombustion technology under the AlrollT brand.
As an indication of the growing impact of oxycombustion technologies in improving rolling mill and reheating furnace productivity, product quality and environmental acceptability, Air Liquide in Paris has decided to promote these technologies and market them under the AlrollT brand. The technology may be used to replace or supplement conventional cold- and hot-air enriched fuel burners in billet steel prior to rolling or other treatment in integrated mill production facilities. As well as providing more efficient use of natural gas per ton of steel, it assists in reducing NOx emissions, and requires low capital investment and minimal downtime.
