The improved version of a dual-spindle, vertical scanning induction hardening system uses a modular approach that allows use of a wide variety of power-supply sizes and frequencies including existing power equipment. The portable system is available with single and dual position spindles, which allows processing parts two at a time. Maximum part size and weight is 35 in. long and 100 lb (915 mm and 45 kg), respectively. The dual part processing capability is suitable for mid-sized to high volume production requirements. The scanner is rugged, flexible, and self-contained with an integral quench, suitable for workcell requirements, in-line manufacturing, and cellular systems.
