The National Center for Manufacturing Sciences (NCMS) has been authorized by the executive board of InfraGard to establish an InfraGard Manufacturing Industry Association (IMIA). The mission of IMIA is to equip manufacturers and their supply chain partners with important communications, education and collaborative project services to help assure the security of critical business information and manufacturing infrastructure. A customized newsletter and section of the NCMS web site will contain security-related information that facilitates the utilization of Internet collaboration in a secure environment. At the executive forum level, members will additionally have the opportunity to participate in leadership forums and collaborative business trials aimed at solving specific business or operational challenges. In addition, high-level executive seminars will be hosted that provide direct interaction between management representatives and key policy makers.
