PyrofiberR single-axis, fiber optic sensor heads measure precise IR temperature and emissivity values of miniature target sizes to 1 mm (0.040 in.). The sensor heads are part of the Pyrofiber lab, automatic emissivity-correcting IR temperature measurement system and use a patented pulse laser technology to measure infrared radiance while simultaneously measuring and correcting unknown emissivity values. The measurement system is available in several models to accommodate temperature ranges between 480 and 5430F (250 to 3000C). The sensor heads incorporate a unique design allowing the energy for both the radiance and the emissivity-correcting laser return signal to travel on the same axis. As a result, depth of view or fixed focus position is not as critical, allowing the user additional compliance when setting up the sensor heads.
