The Aerospace Industries Association (AIA) asked the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) to form a joint agency/industry task force to address agency resource issues. The association said it wants to ensure that the aerospace industry isn't constrained in developing its business. The comments were delivered at an FAA public meeting in late August to hear industry views on four proposals concerning the FAA's Effective Resource Utilization Team effort. The proposals reflect FAA's assessment of current and projected agency certification resources in light of the continuing expansion of industry projects and industry's use of foreign suppliers and reliance on international sales. Presentations by FAA and industry are posted on AIA's web site: http://www.aia-aerospace.org.
