Rath Performance Fibers, Wilmington, Del., the North American subsidiary of Rath AG, Vienna, Austria, has expanded U.S. operations with the addition of a manufacturing facility dedicated to machining and assembling high-temperature ceramic fiber insulation materials and systems. The operation includes CNC (CAD/CAM) machining with the ability to rapidly move from design to prototyping to manufacturing. It incorporates state-of-the-art manufacturing principles and is designed to meet the needs of just-in-time inventory systems. The expansion enables the company to meet the growing demand for intricate, large volume machined parts and assemblies for the high temperature furnace and thermal analytical equipment markets.
