CF Series compact infrared radiation thermometers can measure higher process temperatures from 570 to 4530F (300 to 2500C), achieving an accuracy of I0.5% I1K at an ambient 72F (22C). A built-in LED simplifies the task of aligning the thermometer and projects a red light indicating the location of the temperature measurement spot on the target. Key operating parameters can be configured from a PC via serial interface and optional set-up software. A specific temperature measurement span can be selected within the range of the instrument (complete with automatic scaling of the 4 to 20 mA output) and adjustments made to the target emissivity value, response time and peak picker decay rate. The thermometers can be used in secondary metal processes such as hardening, forging, soldering and sintering.
