The new software and hardware is designed for total control of electric injection molding machines and allows machinery builders and producers to standardize on the MACOR DS for both electric and hydraulic machines. The Impact II software routine eliminates the time-consuming setup of the tuning parameters and leverages the revolutionary closed-loop injection control of the MACOR 4000 controller for hydraulic injection molding machines. It creates a theoretical model of the process to be controlled and uses that model together with hundreds of rules to automatically optimize the process to compensate for short- and long-term deviations in the injection molding process.
