The BOSSR system has been expanded to include a linear measurement mode in either metric or English units for measuring metallurgical structures. It has the ability to capture and file images being measured together with an overlay of measurement information. A full-screen viewing mode condenses measurement controls to smaller areas, allowing larger structures to be measured. The unit has added capabilities for statistical processing and descriptive information.
