P&L Heat Treating and Grinding Inc. has purchased a 10-bar high-pressure quench furnace from Seco/Warwick Corp., Meadville, Pa., to be installed in the Midwest. The unit is equipped with isothermic quenching and an advanced computer control system for P&L's heat treat operation in Youngstown, Ohio. The furnace features a 5,000 lb. load capacity and heats by convection. Hardening and tempering can be accomplished in a single process cycle in the same furnace.
