Commercial Metals Co., Dallas, Tex., has acquired substantially all of the operating assets of D&G Enterprises, Inc., a rebar fabrication company in Helotes, Tex., located near the city of San Antonio. This facility will be owned by CMC Steel Fabricators, Inc. and operate under the name of D&G Enterprises as part of the CMC Steel Group. Founded in 1968, D&G Enterprises has been a family-owned and operated company of approximately 30 employees, supplying fabricated reinforced steel to the Central Texas market. In addition, the company also operates a mini-storage business adjacent to the facility. Wilbur Davis, son of the founder, will serve as General Manager for the facility.
