Preco Industries, Lenexa, Kan., acquired Laser Machining Inc. (LMI), a manufacturer/integrator of high-power laser systems for the metals, nonmetals and converting markets based in Somerset, Wis. LMI, now designated as Preco Laser Systems, will operate as an independent organization with immediate accessibility to Preco's sales and distribution channels. Preco currently has equipment in 31 foreign countries.
