The EM Gateway allows users to monitor and control processes remotely through PCs with Ethernet connections. The system enables users to perform control operations, such a process monitoring, making setpoint changes and managing alarms from remote locations. It communicates with Watlow legacy controllers via a Modbus(tm) EIA 485/EIA 232 communications network, and provides an operator interface by serving web pages to the host Internet browser. It supports up to 16 controllers in any combination, making it suitable for applications that require multiple loops of control.
