GKN Sinter Metals completed its acquisition of the remaining 51% of the issued share capital of Mahindra Sintered Products Ltd. in India from its joint venture partner, Mahindra and Mahindra Ltd. Mahindra Sintered Products manufactures sintered bearings and structural parts for engine and body and chassis applications in the automotive, commercial vehicle and off-highway markets. The company will now be known as GKN Sinter Metal Limited (India). Its plants in Pune and Ahmednagar bring the total number of GKN Sinter Metals production to 36.
