Engineered Pressure Systems Inc.
The Hot Isostatic Press (HIP) production unit is designed to uniformly apply accurate pressure at elevated temperatures to all surfaces in castings, ceramics, plastics, automotive and aerospace industries. The system densifies parts to heal casting defects and voids, bond similar and dissimilar materials and to form net or near shapes from metal, ceramic, cermet and graphic powders. It has inside diameters of 50 to 1,500 mm (2 to 59 in.) and contains pressures from vacuum to 3,000 bar and temperatures as high as 4000F (2205C). The system features interchangeable furnaces for various temperatures and atmospheres to meet production requirements, including oxygen resistant molybdenum and graphite heating elements. In addition, the unit also offers cascade control, fast cooling and uniform fast cooling to optimize heat/cooling rates, enhanced heat treatment possibilities and productivity.
