Danaher Acquires Aerospace Div. of Special Devices Inc.

Danaher Corp., Washington, D.C., has acquired the Aerospace Division of Special Devices Inc. Revenues of the Aerospace division were approximately $20 million in 2000. Additional terms of the sale were not disclosed. The Special Devices Aerospace division offers pyrotechnic initiators, safe-and-arm, and arm-fire devices. The business complements Danaher Pacific Scientific Energetic Materials Co., located in Chandler, Ariz.
