Demag Technica,Veitschöchheim, receives order for strip caster.

Demag Technica, Veitschöchheim, has received an order from Walcownia Metali Dziedzice in Poland for the supply and commissioning of the horizontal strip caster No. 5. Cold rollable strips of brass, bronze, nickel-silver, Nordic gold and other coin alloys in the format 420 x 15 mm will also be produced on the new continuous casting line. The plants include an in-line miller developed by Demag Technica. The continuous cast and milled strips will be directly further processed in a cold rolling mill. The vast majority of the strips produced will be used for the manufacture of coin blanks. Commissioning is scheduled for Spring 2001.
