Dofasco Inc., Hamilton, Ontario, Canada, signed a letter of intent to acquire an advanced automotive tubular manufacturing and processing facility located in Marion, Ohio. Dofasco will acquire the assets, formerly operated by LTV/Copperweld, from a consortium of banks that own the assets. Upon closing, the facility will be integrated with Dofasco's existing tubular steel business.
