Rotary Oven Designed For Australian Company
July 10, 2000
A rotary mould preheating oven has been made for the Adelaide company ACI Glass by B&L Tetlow, Blackburn, Victoria, Australia. The oven is designed to operate at 1112¯F (600¯C). A center door pivot mechanism provides safe and easy operation, keeping excessive heat away from the operator, while the complete floor assembly is designed to rotate and suit loading/unloading parameters. Moulds are carried by a 5 mm false floor plate cut with holes that allow appropriate air flow around them. Element control is enabled by a DCV fired solid state relay that is capable of switching many times a minute to guard against temperature overruns.
