Home » Flexible Graphite Patents Awarded to Graftech
Four U.S. patents for developments in flexible graphite technology have been awarded to Graftech International Ltd., Wilmington, Del. The patents describe advances in three company specialties: fuel cells, electronic thermal management (ETM) and industrial heat management (IHM). The IHM development (U.S. Patent 6,413,601) is an insulation system for high-temperature furnaces that Graftech says combines the conductive properties of flexible graphite with the insulating properties of other materials.
