Bodycote Wins Supply Agreement
The CORR-I-DUR(r) nitrocarburizing process from Bodycote Thermal Processing in Dallas, Tex., has been selected as the heat treat process to increase the wear and corrosion resistance of automotive brake piston components for the new Eastern Germany facility of Erdrich Umformtechnik (EUT) GmbH & Co. KG. The facility, which covers 5,000 square meters (of which 800 are occupied by Bodycote) produces about 10 million brake pistons per year that will be treated with a specially adapted Corr-I-Dur(r) process.
