Infrared Heating Technologies Designs Custom Oven for Automotive Supplier

Infrared Technologies, Oak Ridge, Tenn., finished construction of a large conveyorized infrared oven for an automotive brake parts supplier. The oven measures 30 feet in length by 8 feet in width and is rated at approximately 200 kilowatts. It is designed to heat cure and cool the exothermic friction materials used in front and back automobile brake pads. The oven implements T3 style infrared heating lamps, fuzzy logic feedback temperature controls and PLC logic.
