The KLL counter displays three axis: x, z, and zu (the sum of the displayed values along two longitudinal axes). The counter can store offset values of up to ten different kinds of tools in its memory, eliminating the task of inputting new values when changing tools. Multiple, absolute and incremental coordinates can be set for each axis. If individual cutting tools installed on a lathe are assigned dedicated coordinates, the tools can be used whenever necessary by simply selecting the tool without restricting the machining datum point each time. The unit has a maximum response speed of 100 kHz (2 m/sec) and uses a standard 120 VAC, 50/60 Hz power supply.
