Vacuum Products Group, MKS Instruments, Boulder, CO, published a data sheet on its patented HPSR IgniTorrT, a device that quickly starts a cold cathode sensor. IgniTorr releases photons into the cold cathode sensor to start and maintain the ionization process. Starting times at 10^-10 torr are reduced from 8 hours to about 4 to 5 minutes. The datasheet includes a technical description, specifications, and prices.
