UBE Purchases Three T-6 Solution Heat Treat Lines from CEC
UBE Automotive North America Sarnia Plant, Inc. has purchased three T-6 solution heat treatment lines from Consolidated Engineering Company (CEC), Kennesaw, GA, for Canadian operation. The system heat treats 200-257 cast aluminum wheels per hour. Each system includes one six-zone continuous roller hearth furnace, one four zone continuous roller hearth age oven, one stainless steel quench tank with heating/cooling/agitation, one post-age cooler, three accumulating conveyors, and one control system to integrate all components. The first system will be shipped in June 2001 and will begin producing aluminum wheels in September 2001.
