High Degree Technical Services LLC (Enfield, Conn.) has been awarded a contract to build two large gas-fired furnaces for a Massachusetts-based forging company. The furnaces will be used primarily for heating steel billets for forging. The furnaces each have two separate heating chambers for processing at different temperatures simultaneously. The furnaces are gas-fired using Eclipse ThermJet high-velocity burners to provide tight temperature uniformity required for processing aircraft parts. High Degree Technical Services will deliver, install and startup the furnaces.
