Federal Mogul Corp., Sterling Piston Division, a global supplier of automotive components, sub-systems, modules and systems, is expanding its plant capacity with the installation of a second WBT-75 tilting barrel furnace for its manufacturing facility in Malden, Missouri.

(www.federal-mogul.com), Sterling Piston Division, a global supplier of automotive components, sub-systems, modules and systems, is expanding its plant capacity with the installation of a second WBT-75 tilting barrel furnace for its manufacturing facility in Malden, Missouri. The furnace, manufactured by Seco/Warwick Corp. (Meadville, Pa.; www.secowarwick.com), has a continuous melt rate of 1,800 pounds per hour (817 kg), and a holding capacity of 11,000 lb (4,994 kg). The Malden facility provides pistons to global engine and small motor manufacturers and will use the furnace for aluminum melting.
