The convection batch furnace has an eductor-driven convection flow from 200 to 1600C (390 to 2910F). It achieves the needed firing control to yield improved process and product uniformity for heavy load and high throughput applications. Temperature uniformity across the furnace of +/-5C is possible even in the 200 to 450C range. Improved process response and profile control are achieved through convection heat transfer from the eductor, reducing process time during binder removal, and eliminates the need for lengthy holds due to thermal delays inherent with traditional batch furnaces. The eductor-driven convection can be operated in air, nitrogen, hydrogen and forming gas atmospheres.
