Silica Cloth Types SIL-1, SIL-2 and SIL-3 consist of high-temperature, nontextured amorphous silica fiber yarn, woven into strong fabrics. These non-preschrunk textiles are suitable for applications with continuous use up to 1250 C (2280 F) and occasional excursions up to 1600 C (2910 F). The textiles are easily handled and are resistant to most chemicals.
