Great Lakes Industrial Furnace Installs Alarm Systems
Great Lakes Industrial Furnace Service Inc., Sterling Heights, Mich., entered the completion stage of installing automotive manufacturer-approved deviation alarm systems on all continuous mesh-belt and cast-belt furnaces within the Textron Fastener Systems North American automotive division plants. The systems operate with a deviation alarm output in the carbon control instrument to stop the furnace-loading system when the carbon potential in the furnace is above or below the required operating set point. Automation alarms activate when the system stops, and the system cannot be reset or restarted until it is within the acceptable range.
