The furnace door gaskets (FDG) are made of high-quality refractory grade industrial textiles and low thermal conductivity filler materials. FDG-1 is a combination of vermiculite-impregnated fiberglass and a ceramic fiber blanket filler and is suitable for applications with temperatures up to 1200 F (650 C). FDG-2 is a combination of amorphous silica cloth and ceramic fiber blanket suitable for use to 2000 F (1095 C). FDG-3 is a rugged gasket made of silica cloth covered with a stainless steel mesh.
