The Center for Heat Treating Excellence (CHTE) has received word that its second proposal written for the Department of Energy (DOE) Supporting Industries Program has been awarded. The proposal is on high temperature carburization, with Greg Olson at Northwestern. The award announcement on the first proposal, aluminum heat treating, was announced in May 2001.
