The ceramic fiber-reinforced alumina refractory cloth and tape contain no asbestos or toxic materials and have a maximum use temperature of 2370F (1300C). The high alumina content of the textile-like products makes them highly resistant to many environments, including molten aluminum and various types of fuel oils. An AL-Hard surface treatment is used to harden the refractory cloth and tape for greater resistance.
