General Motors Corp. Honors Combustion Safety

General Motors (GM) Worldwide Facilities Group (WFG) has honored Combustion Safety, Inc., Detroit, Mich., for its work in promoting fuel-fired equipment safety with the presentation of a 2000 WFG Recognition Award. The award was presented at a luncheon with over 300 GM employees and contractors in Warren, Mich. Combustion Safety, Inc., a division of CEC Consultants, Inc., partnered with the WFG to provide combustion safety inspection at 42 of GM's facilities in the U.S., Canada and Mexico during the past year. The combustion safety inspections will continue through 2002 and include all remaining GM boiler facilities. According to WFG, the project demonstrated resourcefulness with an emphasis on project planning, scheduling, visibility and budgeting.
