ECKA Granules(headquartered in Fürth, Germany) established U.S.-based production facilities in Orangeburg, S.C. for the production of nonferrous metal powder and particulates, as well as specialty products for powder metallurgy and other technical applications. ECKA Granules has purchased land and existing plant facility from Federal Mogul Power Train Inc. The facility is being upgraded for the production of powder and particulate products for the U.S., Canadian, and Latin American markets. Production will encompass products from all three of the core business units, including red metals (copper-based metals), aluminum and magnesium.
