Can-Eng Furnaces (Niagara Falls, N.Y.) sold its sixth mesh belt furnace line for processing fasteners to Chem-Plate Industries (Elk Grove, Ill.).

Can-Eng Furnaces(Niagara Falls, N.Y.) sold its sixth mesh belt furnace line for processing fasteners to Chem-Plate Industries (Elk Grove, Ill.). The new line, rated at 7,500 lb/hr., will expand Chem-Plate's capacity to over 50,000 lb/hr. The contract also includes a Level II automation system using Can-Eng's Process Enhancement Technology (PET™). Can-Eng's new SCADA system will integrate Chem-Plate's three plant locations under one supervisory system. The furnace line is scheduled for commissioning in late 2006.
