Crucible Industries LLC of Syracuse, N.Y., announced that Phase I of its furnace modernization plan has been completed with the installation of a custom-designed natural-gas-fired heating furnace. The furnace, which features state-of-the-art burner systems, will improve productivity and quality of all products rolled on Crucible’s 12-inch mill. Phase II of the plan is scheduled to be completed in 2013.
