TWC INVAC of Warsaw, Poland, received an order
from the government of Turkey for a high-temperature bell jar sintering furnace.
The furnace, which is rated for 2500°C, has an all
stainless electro-polished chamber, tungsten and molybdenum hot-zone insulation
and tungsten wire-mesh heating elements. The vacuum pumping system consists
of a turbo-molecular pump and a dry mechanical pump. The furnace
will use nitrogen, argon and hydrogen as process gases. The furnace is
scheduled for shipment in January 2012.
The gas-management system is based on three mass-flow controllers and a hydrogen burn-out system. The temperature control system is based on retractable Type C thermocouples and an optical pyrometer. The control system uses Stange 607 industrial controllers.
