Industrial Heating's monthly economic indicators for
March 2012 showed growth for the second straight month. More importantly, all
four indices increased from February and all four were over 57 for the first
time in almost six years (April 2006). The change in the number of request for
quotes (61.4) and the change in backlog (60.3) were at their highest levels
since February 2006, a span of more than 72 months. The change in the number of
orders was at its highest level since January 2011. March 2012’s numbers:
- Change in number of request for quotes from Jan. to Feb. – 61.4
- Change in number of orders from Jan. to Feb. – 58.4
- Change in backlog from Jan. to Feb. – 60.3
- Expected change in the health of the industry through March – 57.2
