Year-to-date sales for Metal Treating Institute (MTI) member
companies through November 2011 totaled $897.4 million, an increase of 20.3% from
2010 when sales for January-November equaled $745.9 million. MTI sales for
November 2011 were $80.9 million, an increase of 13.3% over November 2010
sales, which equaled $71.5 million. All nine MTI districts (New England, Middle
Atlantic, South Central, Michigan, Southeast, North Central, Pacific Coast,
Southwest and Canada) reported higher sales in November 2011compared to
November 2010. The Southwest district (Texas, Oklahoma, Arkansas, Colorado,
Louisiana and Utah) had the largest increase in year-to-date sales at 35.1%.
