Praxair (China) Investment Co. Ltd. signed a combustion equipment contract with Shandong Guangfu Group to implement Praxair’s proprietary oxy-fuel technology. Under the contract, one of Praxair’s gas injection systems, including three oxygen gas injectors and other related equipment, will be installed at the 100-ton electric arc furnace (EAF) at Shandong Guangfu Group’s steel mill in Shandong province. Compared with conventional lance systems, Praxair’s technology enables customers in the steel and nonferrous metal industries to experience improved operational safety and environmental protection, cost savings and increased productivity.
