With FNA2006 right around the corner, it makes sense to preview what's coming up. For those who are planning to attend, this information will help you get the most from this two-day event. For those who have not yet decided, what are you waiting for?
FNA2006 will be held in Reno, Nev., at the Silver Legacy Resort and Casino. As North America's only heat treat conference and seminar in 2006, FNA2006 is a great opportunity to identify the tools and technologies that will help take your operation to the next level. Check out the official website at www.fna2006.com.
A total of 16 technical sessions will be conducted during the morning of each day. Although you will not be able to attend all of the sessions (several run concurrently), each paid conference attendee will receive all 16 technical sessions on CD. Following the technical presentations the hall will be open with over 150 exhibitors (the most ever) presenting the state-of-the-art equipment to support your heat-treating operation. Up to nine exhibitor presentations on the show floor will allow for a more in-depth look at their latest products and processes.
While the technical sessions and exhibitor displays will be educational and will provide an opportunity to network with some of the brightest minds in heat treating, it's not all work and no play! A golf outing will take place on the afternoon of the day preceding the show, September 26. Industrial Heating is sponsoring this outing along with Eclipse Combustion. There are still plenty of sponsorship opportunities available for this outing. More information can be found at www.industrialheating.com/fnagolf.
At the end of the first day (September 27), Industrial Heating will co-sponsor an Industry Reception with Tenaxol, ECM-USA and Castalloy. Check out the link on Industrial Heating's website for more information. The reception will be held from 4:00 - 5:00 p.m. and from 6:00 - 7:00 p.m. just prior to the Ultimate Comedy Theater, which is being sponsored by Nevada Heat Treating and California Brazing. The Ultimate Comedy Theater is one of the fastest growing comedy tours in America, and it looks like a great time.
For those attendees looking for a chance to win or lose a little money, the beautiful Silver Legacy Resort and Casino offers a variety of options. It will be a great base of operation for our stay in Reno. Be on the lookout for daily $1,000 give-aways with the possibility of winning $25,000.
With America's largest heat-treat-only event coming right up, it would be a shame if you missed out on the technical education and the fun. If you have not done so already, make plans immediately to join us at FNA2006. I look forward to meeting many of you in Reno, Nev., on September 27-28.
