Bodycote Hot Isostatic Pressing (Andover, Mass.) and Dynamet Technology, Inc. (Burlington, Mass.) have formed a strategic alliance. The alliance will permit the further commercialization and expansion of the production capability of Dynamet Technology for the supply of its powder metal billet and near-net shape components in titanium, titanium alloys and titanium alloy composites. It will also permit Bodycote to extend application of its isostatic pressing equipment to the manufacture of finished and semi-finished titanium products.

Bodycote’s Ed Tenerini, president of the North American HIP Operations and director of the European HIP Operations, indicated that this alliance would permit greater participation of Bodycote in the titanium product area that is anticipated to have significant growth in the near future.
