Can-Eng Furnaces Ltd. (Niagara Falls, N.Y.) completed the installation of a 120-metric-ton ingot and bar annealing car bottom furnace for International Steel and Tube Industries Ltd. (Ukraine). The furnace system, located in ISTIL’s blooming mill facility, will be utilized for full annealing cycles on bar and ingot sales for world markets.

The working hearth area is 20 feet wide x 30 feet deep and employs an over/under fired combustion system. This is Can-Eng’s second order for ISTIL and comes after the successful launch of a 120,000-tons-per-year, continuous, stress-free bar heat-treatment complex.
