ZIRCALCAST 95 is a high-purity, extra high-alumina refractory castable comprising primarily pure fused alumina bubbles. It has a composition of 95.6% Al2O3, 3.8% CaO and 0.6% other oxides. It is a blend of Al2O3 bubbles and refractory cement with a uniform particle size less than 4 mesh (5 mm). After an initial set time of 1 to 4 hours and final set time of 7 to 10 hours, the castable reaches a bulk density of 1500 kg/m3 (93.6 pcf). It has a maximum use temperature to 1800C (980F).
