BOC Edwards, Wilmington, Mass., signed a seven-year contract with United Solar Systems Corp. (USSC) to provide bulk atmospheric gas systems, gas cabinets, process gases and on-site service support for USSC's solar cell manufacturing facility in Auburn Hills, Mich. USSC is a joint venture between Energy Conversion Devices (ECD) and Bekaert that specializes in thin-film amorphous photovoltaics, producing solar panels in a range of sizes for commercial and residential use.
