Germany’s ALD Vacuum Technologies has taken a 30% stake in India’s Dynatech Furnace Pvt. Ltd., which has more than 20 years of experience in the manufacture of heat-treatment furnaces, especially vacuum-based technology. Dynatech serves the tool-steel, automotive, aerospace and nuclear industries in India. The company mainly produces single-chamber vacuum furnaces for annealing, hardening, brazing and sintering. The acquisition plan provides that ALD will take over full ownership of Dynatech by the end of 2015.

The investment in Dynatech enables ALD to produce its MonoTherm furnace technology, based on single-chamber vacuum furnaces, by using Dynatech’s cost-competitive production resources in Mumbai. It also allows ALD to serve the Indian market with other product lines like DualTherm or ModulTherm by providing local engineering and service support.
