SECO/WARWICK Corp. sold a clam shell/tip-up furnace used for heat treating long, concentric steel forgings to Ellwood Mill Products for its New Castle, Pa., facility. The primary furnace function will be to heat to quench. However, it may also be used for annealing, normalizing and tempering. The furnace, which has an operating temperature range of 800-1900°F, is approximately 11 feet x 11 feet x 63 feet long.

Ellwood Group Inc., of which Ellwood Mill Products is a subsidiary, produces engineered, heavy metal sections for specialty-equipment manufacturers. The company has nine operating business units encompassing multiple plants in Pennsylvania, Michigan, Ohio, Texas and Canada.
