Tenova has received an order from ThyssenKrupp USA. Tenova LOI Italimpianti will engineer, supply and commission three new walking-beam furnaces. The furnaces, with capacities of 420 tons/hour each, are for carbon steel and stainless steel production. The furnaces are to be installed at ThyssenKrupp’s greenfield facility in Alabama. In addition, Tenova Pomini will supply two complete roll shops – one for the hot-strip mill and one for the cold-rolling mill.

Tenova LOI Italimpianti Genoa has received the final acceptance certificate for ArcelorMittal’s 450-tons/hour walking-beam furnace. The furnace, which is for the new MSPKK hot-strip mill in Poland, is equipped with Tenova’s patented FlexyTech® low-NOx burners, which achieved lower emissions than guaranteed.
